 Drought - Jupiter & Saturn Gods of Famine

  For at least six thousand years ancient cultures have been recording the locations of Jupiter and Saturn. The middle-eastern cultures had even stylized it into the Star-of-David. The relationship of these two planets was the basis of their calendar. During a period of just short of twenty years Jupiter laps Saturn in her orbit. These laps are part of the sacred spiritual cycles of these peoples.

   It is my contention this was recorded because of the effect these planet cycles had upon the weather. This is in fact the reason for this article. I believe I can show in a convincing manor the relationships of these planets causes three major drought cycles.

  We will be talking about the actual conjunction cycle when Jupiter is exactly between Saturn and the sun, and the Opposition cycle when the sun is directly between them. The 3-5 year period surrounding the conjunction is the most important but in Africa the opposition cycle is also important.

  We will be addressing two areas of drought the first will be droughts in Africa and the second will be droughts in the large continental area in the Northern hemisphere. This will be China, India, Russia, the United States, and Canada. First we will talk of Africa.

  African Droughts

  As we can see in the chart below the most serious African droughts follow specific positions of Saturn; the opposition around 1/30/1911, the conjunction during 11/16/1940, the opposition around 9/3/1970 and the conjunction of 6/22/2000. These dates are  grouped around the conjunctions or oppositions of Jupiter and Saturn when Saturn is located in the 36 –52 degree range. This is about from October 25 to November 15. To find this drought season Saturn and Jupiter would be in the zenith at midnight or Saturn would be in the zenith at midnight and Jupiter would not be visible, because it would be behind the sun on these dates. The main impact of Jupiter on the opposition years would be about April 22^nd to may 1^st.

Northern Hemisphere Droughts

United States, Canada, Russia, India, China

In the northern Hemisphere on the big continents we are in for another big drought. Two of this series have already been recorded. The first 1881 to 1901 had very serious droughts. There were global droughts from 1876 to 1879 and from 1896 to 1902.

A near repeat of the cycle came in 1940 and 1961. I have no data on 1940 because of the war probable most weather event were missed, but in China from 1959 to 1961 about 20 million people starve from drought and government error.

  Now we are in the third cycle, the first one half 1997 to 2001 saw drought and starvation in India, China, Ethiopia, East Africa, and the Horn of Africa. The second phase will come in the eight-year period from 2012 till 2020. This will be a very serious problem as the populations continue to expand and the Global warming increases.

  Food-stuffs must be stored because this will not be affecting small areas. All the large continents of the Northern hemisphere will be affected.
